The Backdrop to the Project
"The House Speaks"

The project "Introduction of the S.O.G. - The Understanding of Son-Ship" or I.O.T.S.U.O.S. for short, is a project that has been in the making for 6 years.  Elements of this project include the poetry writing process; assembling everyone in the studio to record their poetry; the audio engineering process applied to each poetic track and posting the final product on various websites. I say 6 years because that's how long it has taken some of us working on the project to grasp the reality of the nature of "Son-Ship". It is safe to say that some of us still do not understand fully because being a Son is a way of life that has to be walked out.  It has to be intentional.  It is not just going to church once or twice a week or only participating in traditional church activities such as singing in a choir or being a member of a ministry. This is important to state because apart from this understanding, one can never really fully comprehend and live out the reality of Son-Ship. People may have questions concerning the word Son-Ship and/or the nature of it.  It is not uncommon to receive questions such as “What is Son-Ship?” Well, I will try my best to answer it.

First we would have to start with the intent of God as it relates to mankind (man and woman) to begin to understand Son-Ship.  God’s original intent was to have a mature, intimate and transparent relationship with mankind.  So the word Son-Ship explains and expresses the nature of this relationship.  Men and women who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ are called God’s "Sons" (Galatians 3:26 American Standard Version (ASV)).  Therefore, the word Son is intended to express a spiritual relationship between God and man.  The relationship must be spiritually-based because man cannot relate to God in his natural flesh.  Regarding our soul, yes we have one which is that part of us that expresses our feelings, emotions, and helps us to relate to the natural things on earth. This is why when God created man, He created a being that was both earthly and heavenly. Our soul helps us to relate to the earth and our spirit enables us to communicate with God.

Over the history of mankind the intentions and heart of God, who is called Father by those who are in relationship with him because he is the Father of our spirits due to our spirit comes from Him, has been to reflect His character and nature through man to others on Earth.  It's safe to say that since the fall of man with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the intentions of God have fallen short of His heart’s desire due to man's choices, decisions and consequences.  However, God has left types and shadows for us all though the Old Testament, even giving man the reality of God through the arrival of His Son Jesus Christ who stated these words to those whom followed and where close to Him "If you've seen me then you've seen God or rather the Father" expressing the intent of God again after at least 47 generations of men having lived and died. Christianity, or Salvation as many are familiar with, has been made the totality of the intent of God as it relates to man believing in God though the works of Jesus Christ on the cross and receiving redemption for his or her soul by the forgiveness of sins by God.

But this leaves many questions unanswered such as “Why did God create man?”, “Why did God create man and then have to save him or her?”  Because "God's heart's desire is that no man should perish", it follows, at least from an early perspective, that God can best be served by not making man in the first place and just allow the angels to praise Him.   Other questions include “If God did in fact create man knowing that He would have to save them, then why create man?”
Here's proof that God didn't create man just to save him. He had bigger plans for man.  7It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. 8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. 9If anyone has an ear, let him hear. Revelation 13:8

19but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.20For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you 21who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1Peter 1:20

What these scriptures are saying is that the Lamb, that is Jesus Christ, was slain before the world was even created. So God's intent was never to create man just to save him.  Rather, He created man as an extension of Himself in the earth.  And man (mankind) was created by God to be His Sons as stated in Luke 3:38 as it relates to Adam.  Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Saving him was only the beginning, part of a long road to getting man to understand who he is as it relates to being spirit. What we see with the fall of man in the garden is man losing his rightful place as God's son. When man was deceived by Satan into eating the apple from the Tree, the eyes of Adam's soul were opened.  This lead him to perceive things from an earthly mind set and no longer a heavenly mindset.  Up until the time Adam ate the fruit, his soul was dormant but it was led by his Spirit. But after eating the fruit, the soul was awakened and was no longer led by the Spirit.  It had its own desires and wanted to be in control.  The Bible says that she saw that the fruit was pleasant and desirable to make one wise. 6When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. 7Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings. Genesis 3:6-7.

Question, how can you see something but later your eyes are opened and you see that you are naked? Well, it's not a contradictory statement because up until that time the eyes of the soul were closed. But once they were opened, man had desires to do everything, even those things God abhorred.

This project reflects the understanding of knowing what was lost and a understanding from the wisdom from God our Father of what and who we are and even the struggles and hardships that goes along in our everyday life as our soul and spirit have this ongoing UFC wrestle match for power. So you can expect to hear subjects that are very hurtful and sensitive, even raw in nature.  But it is life (in a since that God was fully seen as He really is and understood for who He is, which is Father) and the things shared are very real and were even painful to write about because at times it caused painful memories to resurface.  So, you have our full permission to share with others as the Spirit of God leads you.
Authors/ Poets of this project are as following: Stephen Jackson, Charity Biggins, Dale S. Skinner Jr. aka "The SOG", Octavius Clarke, Martin Lee aka DJ Lee.  They are also sons in the Maryland Household and the Fathers of the House are Dana Thompson and Amadi Williams.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy!!!
